Ben Garber

About Ben Garber:

After receiving a Masters degree in Social Work, Ben became the Director of Human Services for the South East Community Organization (SECO) in Baltimore City. Ben led a team of caseworkers, tutors and community volunteers.

Several years later, Ben used his management and leadership experience to enter the computer services field, working in the management of a local computer franchise and later as a sales representative for Microsoft. In the spirit of entrepreneurship, Ben then went on to create his own business, "Computer Training & Consulting". Through his training and consulting business, Ben trained thousands of clients in hundreds of organizations on a wide range of computer business software, as well as creating custom software solutions. Ben’s training and consulting included clients in the U.S. and India.

Ben used the lessons he learned from the creation and ownership of his training and consulting business to create
Compelling Leadership. Ben's academic and professional experiences allow him to combine his work as a business owner, manager, consultant, social worker, trainer, and actor into captivating presentations on leadership.

Ben is a member of the National Speakers Association. Ben is also a charter member of the DC Chapter of the Theodore Roosevelt Association. Ben began his character portrayal of Theodore Roosevelt as a service project to provide living history and motivational programs in elementary and middle schools. Through his extensive study of Theodore Roosevelt for these programs, he realized the wealth of knowledge and experience TR has to offer to business organizations. Ben also appears on TV and in print media as a media ambassador for Weight Watchers.
